Details for NNVT Night Vision Devices:

What’s an NNVT tube?

NNVT tubes are made overseas and imported into the US. Some NNVT tubes are sold as gen 2 or gen 2+, while others are marketed as gen 3. In my experience doing side by side comparison, the 1400 fom green phosphor have performance similar to gen 2+ and the older gen 3 omni tubes. Whereas, the 1800 FOM white phosphor tubes have performance that is similar to many gen 3 units. Yes, my opinion is biased because I’m selling them. Even still, I’ve found the NNVT units to be about 95% as clear as Gen 3 Elbit tubes for about 1/3rd less in purchase price. So far, they have all been reliable for us. If I had one minor complaint, it seems like the dual tubes might have a bit of latent battery drain if you store them with the battery installed when not in use (in my testing, batteries last a week when installed and not in use). On the monoculars, the batteries last a month or more when stored with a battery installed. To be clear though, the manufacturer recommends storing these units with the battery removed.

As much as we prefer American manufacturing, your iPhone is imported, your computer is imported, even the sensors and e-Prom chip of your “American” car is imported. Moreover, with inflation at all-time highs and bight vision costing several thousand dollars, NNVT tubes get you WAY MORE PERFORMANCE for your quickly inflating dollars. NNVT tubes offer a lot more performance for the money when compared to Elbit and L3 US-made tubes. In these uncertain times, you must make sure that you get the biggest advantage for your hard-earned money. Own the night!

NNVT PVS-14 & BNVD For Sale: White Phosphor 1800 FOM or Green Phosphor 1400 FOM

pvs14 1800 fom white phosphor autogated

A pvs14 is a compact, lightweight night vision monocular (single eyepiece) that uses an analog intensifier tube (IIT) to amplify small amounts of starlight or moonlight. A BNVD is the same as a PVS14, but has tubes for both eyes. The BNVD is very similar to the PVS31, with a few minor differences. Analog night vision allows you to see in the dark, and can also see light in the infrared (IR) spectrum. The PVS14 can be helmet mounted, weapon mounted (to 5.56x45mm and smaller calibers), or handheld. Some units may have a few very small “pepper flakes” but DO NOT HAVE significant “blems.”

    Included:

  • PVS-14 or BNVD, 1800 FOM White or 1400 FOM Green
  • Spec sheet (White Phosphor Only)
  • J-Arm (PVS14 only)*
  • Rhino style helmet mount for PVS14, BNVD ships with dovetail mount*
  • Foldable “skull crusher” style helmet*
  • Lens cloth
  • BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED: PVS14 takes a single AA battery, BNVD uses single cr123
  • BNVD only, the binocular NVG also comes with an extended battery pack that can be used as a counterweight

*NOTE on rhino/dovetail mount, J-arm, and skull crusher: these accessories are a great way to get outside in the dark and make night vision more affordable. However, don’t expect the j-arm and rhino mount to be as durable as Mil-Spec units from Wilcox or Norotos. I’ve never had one of the included mounts break, but sometimes I do need to use the tension bungees on my helmet to minimize wiggling of the device during activities like running, fast driving, or climbing.
